Red Robyn - cafe in Melbourne

Ahhh, Red Robyn. My favourite cafe in the whole wide world.

This place is an absolute haven for anyone with any food intolerance. No matter what your dietary needs are, they will ensure you can eat something delicious. The entire cafe is gluten free and on the menu there's an allergy code which shows you what you can and can't eat according to your allergy or intolerance. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about their dishes and are more than happy to make adjustments to suit your needs.

So, what should you eat?

My number one recommendation is the AVO MASH. This used to be just avo on toast (delicious GF toast, might I add) but it has recently been jazzed up. It is now topped with beetroot relish, roasted tomato and toasted seeds. Personally, I like to add feta too. It tastes like heaven.

Another favourite of mine is the ZUCCHINI AND QUINOA FRITTERS, which is a new item on the menu. The fritters are served with a tasty pumpkin puree, tomato salsa and chipotle mayo.

I am devastated that they recently took the VEGGIE STACK off the menu (a sweet potato rosti topped with veggies including zucchini and eggplant) but I am secretly hoping it will reappear one day...just for me!

They also have a little cabinet up the front filled with delicious sweet treats: cakes, scones, hot cross buns (around Easter time) and brownies. Yum!

While the food is amazing, half the charm of this place is the lovely staff. They're incredibly helpful and always cheery!
